John D. Chaney

Mr. Chaney is Managing Director of Chaney Capital Partners L.P., a family investment company. For over 25 years he was involved in the electronic payments and transaction processing industry. In 1976, Mr. Chaney was co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Payment Services Company (dba TeleCheck), where he built TeleCheck into an international company with several hundred million dollars in annual revenue, more than 2,000 employees, 400,000 retail customers and processed more than a million check transactions daily.

In 1992, Mr. Chaney sold TeleCheck to a predecessor of First Data Corporation (NYSE: FDC). In 1996, Mr. Chaney was named Group President of First Data Information Management Group, managing seven operating companies. During his career, Mr. Chaney has successfully completed more than 25 acquisitions and created more than 10 start-up companies.

In 1999, Mr. Chaney left FDC to focus on personal investments. Mr. Chaney has served on numerous boards and currently is the Chairman of Pre-Net Corporation and a director of Mirus, Inc., The Houston Zoological Society, Spring Branch Educational Foundation and is vice chairman of The Cedars Camps. He holds a BA from Principia College with majors in computer science, business administration and economics. Mr. Chaney served as an officer in the United States Air Force. Mr. Chaney resides in Houston, Texas.
